| Brokenness | ||

| Josephus | ||
![]() | ||
| This pdf is an excerpt from David Chilton's Book, "Paradise Restored" (Tyler, Texas © 1st 1985 & 6th 1999). It contains a collection of excerpts illustrating a major argument of his book: that the Fall of Jerusalem in A.D. 70 was the fulfillment of Jesus' prophecy in the Olivet Discourse. The excerpts begin by describing some of the background to the Jewish Revolt, and end with the suicide at Masada in A.D. 74. (39 pages) Chilton has done the hard work of sifting through Josephus and Tacitus, making it an easy read and an excellent introduction to the History of the Jews in the first century. | ||
![]() | ||
| From the Preface: In the following pages some of the principal prophecies are selected from Moses and Jesus Christ, and placed at the head of each chapter, that the reader may more readily perceive their literal and precise accomplishment as recorded in the works of Josephus. Daniel Smith 1840. (84 pages) This is a very thorough work on the subject and will take time to read. | ||
